Servicing & habitation checks

Specialist servicing starts with the right engineer.

Looking for a motorhome habitation check or caravan servicing in London? Ask us about arranging specialist support. Formal servicing, LPG work and electrical testing need suitably competent, qualified and insured engineers.

Partner appointments are subject to confirmation. We do not claim AWS approval, Gas Safe registration, manufacturer authorisation or an appointed partner network.

Understand the scope first

A repair visit and an annual service do different jobs.

A repair visit investigates a particular fault. A planned service or habitation check follows an agreed inspection schedule. Before you book, confirm who will do the work, what is included, the price and what documentation you will receive.

01

Annual motorhome habitation checks

An annual habitation check typically reviews agreed parts of the living-area systems, fittings and condition. The exact scope varies by vehicle and provider. Ask about arranging a qualified specialist, and confirm the checklist, any exclusions and the report before booking.

02

Full touring caravan servicing

Caravan servicing may include habitation systems and relevant running gear or chassis items. This is wider than a minor repair visit. We would need to confirm a suitable specialist, access requirements and the exact service schedule for your caravan.

03

Damp inspections

A damp inspection uses suitable equipment and a consistent process to assess moisture readings in accessible areas. Readings need interpretation in context and are not a guarantee that hidden damage is absent. Competence, equipment, inspection scope and reporting must be confirmed.

04

LPG and gas appliances

Gas checks, appliance repairs and any formal gas safety documentation must be undertaken by an engineer with the appropriate competence and registration where required for that use. Do not dismantle gas connections or continue using an appliance you suspect is unsafe.

05

230V electrical inspection and testing

Mains hook-up systems, fixed 230V wiring, testing and associated repairs require the right electrical specialist. Confirm the inspection scope and any documentation in advance. Basic 12V fault finding is not a substitute for mains electrical inspection.

06

Repeat annual servicing

Once a suitable service arrangement is established, discuss how to plan the next annual visit directly with the agreed provider. There is no automatic renewal or guaranteed repeat appointment. Keep the reports and check your vehicle manufacturer’s requirements yourself.

Specialist work · partner availability to be confirmed

Every job is assessed before booking. We only accept work within our competence, equipment and insurance cover. Gas, mains electrical work and formal servicing need appropriately qualified specialists.

Good to know

Your questions,
answered.

A few useful answers before you get in touch.

Can I book a certified habitation check now?

Contact us with your vehicle details, postcode and preferred timing. We will need to confirm a suitably qualified and insured partner before offering an appointment. No certification or partner availability is promised at this stage.

Are you an AWS-approved workshop?

We do not claim Approved Workshop Scheme membership or manufacturer authorisation. If your warranty or insurer requires a particular approval, verify the engineer’s current credentials and acceptance with the relevant organisation before booking.

Does a habitation check include the motorhome engine?

No. A habitation check concerns the living area within its agreed scope. Engine servicing, MOT testing, gearbox and other base-vehicle mechanical work need a suitable vehicle garage.

Is a damp check a pre-purchase inspection?

No. A damp check is a defined part of a condition assessment and is not a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection. Formal pre-purchase inspections are deferred until a competent process has been established.
