What we collect
When you enquire, we receive the information you send us. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, vehicle location postcode, vehicle type, make, model and year, fault description, site access details, preferred contact method and photographs you choose to attach.
Please send only information relevant to the repair. Do not include access codes, financial information, identity documents or unnecessary images of people. Photos are optional. Before emailing photographs, check that they do not contain location metadata or other information you do not wish to share.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to assess your request, check coverage, discuss a quotation and arrange work if agreed. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract and, where applicable, performing that contract.
We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure business to handle spam, protect correspondence and investigate misuse. Hosting and email providers may process security and access logs.
If work is booked, necessary records may also be kept for accounting, legal obligations and handling disputes. We do not use enquiry details for unsolicited marketing, sell personal data or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated processing.
How your enquiry reaches us
Enquiries are currently made by email. The email button opens your own email application; you choose when to send your message and attachments. The website does not receive or store the contents of that email.
Vercel hosts the website. LCN forwards messages sent to the public domain email address. Microsoft Outlook hosts the receiving inbox. Your own email provider also processes the messages you send. These services may hold messages, attachments and delivery or security records under their applicable agreements and retention settings.
Specialist arrangements
If specialist help may be needed, we discuss the proposed referral or arrangement before sharing the details necessary for that work. A specialist may act as a separate controller and provide their own privacy notice. Customer photographs are not published as job examples without a separate appropriate agreement.
Where information is processed
Hosting, email delivery, provider support and subprocessors may involve processing outside the UK. Where restricted international transfers apply, appropriate safeguards are required. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
Email enquiries that do not lead to work are reviewed after 12 months and deleted when no longer needed. Job-related photos are reviewed after completion and deleted when no longer necessary for the repair, a warranty issue or a dispute. Booked-work, accounting and dispute records are kept for the period required by applicable legal obligations and relevant claims.
Deletion reviews include the receiving inbox, sent mail, forwarded copies, attachment downloads, exports and relevant provider retention.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction of use or a portable copy. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or handle a claim.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the business using the privacy contact route above. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can contact us first so we have the opportunity to investigate your concern.
Your choices
You do not have to send an enquiry or provide photographs. Your contact details, fault description and vehicle postcode help us respond and assess a request; without enough information we may be unable to progress it. An enquiry does not create a booking.
If you choose WhatsApp or email directly, those services process your message under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not embed WhatsApp tracking. See our cookie information.
